Apart from the announcement this morning that Archbishop Piacenza has replaced Cardinal Hummes (for whom I must admit at one time having a soft spot) the other good news of the day: it appears Pope Benedict’s book-length interview with Peter Seewald will be released on November 23rd “in the world’s major languages”. Apparently Ignatius will be publishing it in English, whether a British publisher will pick it up seems not to be known yet. Since the sad demise of Family Publications (whatever happened there?) it is not so straightforward to get Ignatius publications here in the UK. The same article at CNS indicates that the release of the second volume of Jesus of Nazareth (From the Entrance to Jerusalem to the Resurrection) will also soon be published, in early 2011.
